How to Become Happy and Become Healthy

Our shampoo—Become Happy—is used a little bit differently than other shampoos. You put it on your hair before you get in the shower, while your hair is still dry. We want you to be able to absorb the nutrients in it, and it acts like a mask. Put some shampoo in your hand, put it all over your hair, your scalp, and rub it in. Walk around for a few minutes. Whistle a happy tune.

Then get in the shower, wet your hair a little bit, and lather it. It’s very gentle. The mask will actually help not only to put nutrients into your skin, but also into your hair. It has seaweed in it, which is really high in minerals, antioxidants, and phyto-nutrients, and it has apple cider vinegar, which is very strengthening to the hair. It helps to encourage regrowth and to close the cuticle to make it nice and shiny. It’s a great way to put something good inside your body as well as cleansing your hair.

Our conditioner—Become Healthy—has Shea butter, coconut butter, and different essential oils in it. It also has seaweed algae extracts. The purpose of the conditioner is really to help smooth the cuticle and protect it. Most people just get in the shower, put conditioner all over their hair, and rub it in. Well, that doesn’t work. Conditioner needs to be on the mid-shaft of the hair and on the ends, not on the scalp. Your whole body is always regenerating oils to help protect it, so you don’t need the conditioner on the scalp, but you do need it on your ends and the mid-shaft of your hair. Emulsify it a bit by heating it up in the palm of your hand, and then put it all over the ends of the hair and work it in. Here’s a healthy tip: rinse the conditioner with cold water. You want to end with a cold-water rinse so it closes the cuticle and closes the pores and your body absorbs nothing after that.
